Remember what East Wharf Road looked like in October? And how about in July when the trees are fat with green? Well, it's January now and Madison, CT has more snow than it's had in many years. More snow days too. Everyone has. That concerns us a bit. The Beach Street Sandwiches truck is optimal for dry conditions. That's why we're moving to Atlanta.

We flew back from France this morning with cases of Beaujolais Nouveau for our customers to drink with their sandwiches.

Tonight, 6pm: Bobby Flay at RJ Julia, Madison, CT.
We will be parked nearby, on Route 1, as part of the town's Sea, Shop and Scare event (stores open until 8pm, costumes, scarecrows, etc.).

Beach Street Sandwiches at Grass Island Market, Guilford

Today and tomorrow we'll be out in front of Grass Island Market (aka Mannix Chevrolet; 301 Boston Post Road) in Guilford, serving Breakfast All Day Sandwiches and Lunch (Chipotle-Glazed Chicken Salad is back!) from 11am to 2pm.

Norwalk River and Reuben-ish Sandwiches

This is the Norwalk River, from the train bridge, from the train, from the cellphone, dug up from the bag quickly to capture this beach-like moment (water and beauty). Ahh. It's Friday. For you. For us it's the middle of the week. And this week that means a new special sandwich - Corned Beef and Kraut on Rye.

As many of you know, we've started to do Office Lunch Drop-Offs, Drop-Ins, and Pick-ups (which means you call in an order from that day's menu). We brought back one of this summer's Special Sandwiches - Steak & Greens - as part of a recent menu.

Saturday Truck Stop: Grass Island Market, Guilford

Nope, that's not the storefront pictured. We'll add that photo later, or maybe you want to send one to us after visiting us at Grass Island Market(301 Boston Post Road, Guilford) this Saturday, 10am to 6pm. It's the former Mannix Chevrolet space, now home to some gorgeous (copper pots) and fun (vintage Halloween costumes) antiques and collectibles.

Peppers and Onions and Specials and Catering

Chef had these peppers going for the Sausage-and-Peppers special, and the onions became compote (sweated in olive oil with garlic for multiple hours) for the Autumn Vegetarian sandwich that we're now running as a special because Popular Demand has brought back Asian Vegetarian.
